The Dodos Roller Hockey team won their first playoff game in Division 5 when they went to visit the Toads. After finishing the regular season with a 7-2 record, the Dodos drew the second seed and skated to an easy 10-5 victory.
After scoring only one goal in the regular season, Dylan Mlcoch led the way for the Dodos with four goals and one assist. Brian Silvey added a hat trick and an assist, while Jeff Hewitt, Matt Haddad and Keith Loitz chipped in goals as well.
The Dodos breezed to a 5-0 lead in the first period before surrendering four goals in the second and scoring just two themselves. Trailing 7-4 to start the third, the Toads scored a goal just 54 seconds in to the period, but that would be their last goal, as Big Chris would deny all other attempts to score. The Dodos scored three unanswered goals after that to sail to the win.
The Dodos meet the Blades on Thursday, September 16, in round two of the playoffs. The winner goes on to the Championship next week.

What? Only 4 penalty minutes. That is a new all time record for me. Those anger management classes are paying off
