PCBL All-Star Weekend takes place this weekend, June 25-26, 2011 at CSUN Matador Field. In a two-way tie for first when the All-Star teams were set, the Dodos are privileged to send five players this year. The Dodos' participants were selected by the Dodos Baseball team and the results are in!
The top five in votes received will play in the game. Receiving 13 votes were Steve Cole and Chris Hems. Matty Lane received 11 votes, with Charles Dethloff and Dustin Burke rounding out the votes with nine each. Chris Hoffman had five votes, finishing four votes short.
The Dodos will be on the PCBL A Division West team with players from the White Sox, Loons and Dogs. Managing the West team will be the Dodos' manager, Tony Ross, who has been rumored to "not know what he's doing". Let's hope his team's 10-2-1 record and a win in the All-Star game dispel those untruths.
