Dodos Hockey capped off Father's Day with a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Last Call on Sunday night. Caleb McEvers scored two goals to lead the team to the win. Joe Madden scored his first goal of the season in the first period, giving the Dodos and early 1-0 lead when he cleaned up a rebound shot by Dylan Mlcoch and deflected by Matt Marsh. Last Call scored with 54 seconds remaining in the period to tie the game at 1-1.
Last Call jumped out in front with a goal in the second period that sneaked by Dodos' goalie, Juan. The Dodos put nine shots on goal, but couldn't get the game-tying goal in the second.

Tempers began to flair in the final seconds, prompting one Last Call player to illegally check Dodos' defenseman Jason Hibarger, knocking him to the ice. George Edwards skated to help Hibarger and let the Last Call players hear his opinion. Then, the rest of the players came over to discuss matters with some pushing and shoving, resulting in penalties. Juan faced 19 SOG, making 17 saves on the way to his third win of the season.
The Dodos (3-6-2) host the Puck Monkeys Sunday, June 26, 2011 at 4PM on the NHL Rink as they look to avenge two early season losses to the Monkeys.
